This Week's Big Miracle

Here's my miracle story for the week.

This week was good and I learned a bunch of things. I'm in an apartment with 4 elders and two of us are greenies. Well our trainers decided to send us two greenies by ourselves to a lesson with a guy who didn't speak English and we had to take the train and find the place without a real map. It was fun because we both don't speak very well. But it turned into a miracle because after knocking 40 doors before our lesson time we went to the house that we were given the address to. It wasn't the guy who we were supposed to meet or the right house but this one guy Listened to my broken message about Christ and the Book of Mormon, accepted the book, read some while I was talking to him and said we could come back. It was awesome. We walked back and called the guy we were supposed to visit and he answered but somehow we were led to this other guy’s house.

Impressive High Tech Japanese Bathroom

It is possible that the first thing Eli told me about was the bathroom with all the buttons in Japanese, that he couldn't read.  He was IMPRESSED!  And thus, this video. Ready to laugh?

I Get to Wear Church Clothes All Day, Every Day, Even on Preparation Day!

Tell the boys, "Hi!" and that I get to wear church clothes all day, every day, even on preparation day.

Japanese vending machine, they are everywhere and I mean everywhere.

Oh ya, I ate the natto stuff and it doesn't taste bad it just feels like straight boogers and makes you want to barf. And the funny Myanmar guys bought us green tea and red bulls and green tea mochi but
we were able to avoid it. They accepted a Book of Mormon in English because there isn't one translated into their language.

Hey everybody.
すっみまちょっといいですか。That’s what I say a million times a day. I had a pretty
fun week. I met undy man, hit my head on some stuff, ate this nasty stuff called natto, got to bear my testimony in church, took a train with another greenie to a town I've never been to teach a lesson, had this funny guy tell me that we had slaves and were annoying, was offered about everything I couldn't eat or drink and an investigator said he'd like to get baptized. It was awesome. I also met good old Peter. This white guy biking across Japan. He was cool. Japanese is tough but it's alright. Have fun everyone.

This is mushu and if you do something with that ladle and the water you get cleansed.

Okazaki Castle on Preparation Day!

Okazaki Castle
Eight minutes of p-day left, here's the awesome castle and shrine.

Okazaki Ward Party

Mom: “A Moira Yasuyoshi shared these photos with me. Who is he? If I called him Brother Yasuyoshi would that be incorrect?”

Eli: “Hey Mom and Family! That was the second day and we were teaching the kids the Macarena. It was the ward party. I'm not really sure who that is because it is so hard to remember Japanese names.

The other picture is for the missionary wall (in the Japanese Ward). Do I have a plaque in the church at home? Here's a picture of my cool new name tag. And the tiny bathroom in the apartment.”
